Canadian drug generic to brand drug price ratios quarterly 2010-2016 This statistic shows the generic-to-brand drug price ratio in Canada in selected quarters between 2010 and 2016. In the fourth quarter of 2016, the generic-to-brand drug price ratio was 0.33. This ratio can be interpreted that - on average - generic drugs cost around one third of the price of brand name drugs.
