This statistic illustrates the quarterly amount in new bank loans approved to small and medium enterprises in the United Kingdom (UK) by country. It can be seen that England saw the highest amount of lending to small and medium enterprise loan approvals with over four billion British pounds in the fourth quarter of 2017. This was almost 3.6 billion British pounds more than new loans approved in the same quarter in Scotland.
