Number of police stop and searches performed in London 2006-2019

In 2018/19 the Metropolitan Police of London performed just over 365 thousand stop and searches, a significant increase when compared with the previous year. Prior to 2018/19, the use of this particular police power was in in decline since 2010/11 when over 580 thousand searches were undertaken.
