Brazil: violent property crimes 2013-2018, by type The number of violent crimes against property registered in Brazil has been oscillating recently. In 2018, almost 491 thousand car thefts or break-ins were reported in the South American country, down from more than 551 thousand of such crimes recorded a year earlier.
Meanwhile, the number of violent deaths in Brazil has risen lately.
