This statistic displays the share of female Muslims wearing a headscarf in the Netherlands in 2015, by origin. 90 percent of the Somali-Dutch female Muslims participating in this survey said to wear a veil. This is significantly higher than the share of Surinamese-Dutch female Muslims wearing a headscarf. Only 20 percent of the Surinamese-Dutch women answered to wear a veil.
