Value of investments of French insurance companies at the end of 2016 This statistic illustrates the total value of investments companies in France at the end of 2016, by investment type. It can be seen that corporate bonds made up the majority of investments of insurance companies in this year, at approximately 907.3 billion euros. This was followed by bonds issued or granted by the state at 772.8 billion euros. The investment type that had the lowest investment was property assets at 96.8 billion euros as of the end of 2016.
