Total renewable power generation capacity in Indonesia 2013-2022
In 2022, the capacity of the total renewable power generation in Indonesia amounted to approximately 12.48 thousand megawatts, an increase of over 4.2 thousand megawatts since 2013. Indonesia has set a target to achieve 23 percent renewable energy use by 2025, and 31 percent by 2050. While the Indonesian government is attempting to increase the usage of renewable energy sources, new power plants are still primarily focused on fossil fuels.
