Taiwan: democracy supporters among youth 2018

This statistic represents the results of a survey conducted among Taiwanese people in selected years from 2011 to 2018 about their support for democratic political system. In 2018, approximately 86 percent of the younger respondents (20 to 39 years old) stated that democracy was the best political system.

In this survey series, youth stands for respondents from 20 to 39 years old. The most recent survey included 1,572 people of all ages from 20 years old, among them 825 respondents from 20 to 39 years old.

The respondents of the survey had to agree or disagree with the statement: "There are some problems with democracy, but it is still the best political system".
