Mexico: change of medical consultation use in rural areas 2012-2015

This statistic shows the change in patients' behavior in rural areas of Mexico's region Nuevo León regarding medical consultations in 2012 and 2015. In 2012, only 19 percent of people living in rural areas made use of telemedicine, also known as eHealth options, while 87 percent stuck to face-to-face consultations with a doctor. Whereas in 2015, 81 percent of people living in rural areas took advantage of telemedicine.
