The return on equity (ROE) of banks in Ukraine overall increased since October 2018, when it was under 10 percent. In September 2022, the ROE of banks in Ukraine was 2.21 percent, recovering from a decreasing trend between April and July 2022. Return on equity is a key performance indicator for investors to measure how much of a companies income is returned as shareholder equity. Using this on a industry scale can be useful for investors or shareholders to calculate their particular investments against the industry as a whole.
