Most common types of treats given to pet dogs by owners in the UK 2018

This statistic displays the results of a survey conducted in 2018, in which dog owners in the United Kingdom (UK) were asked which treats they regularly give their dog. Among the various types of treat, dog biscuits are the most common, given by 76 percent of owners surveyed. Dental chews and leftovers rank in second and third place, popular among 63 percent and 27 percent of owners, respectively. Despite the fact that chocolate is considered poisonous for dogs two percent of respondents stated that they feed their dog human chocolate.
