Mexico: murders of activists and environmentalists 2015-2018
In 2018, the murders of at least 14 land activists or environmentalists were reported in Mexico. A year earlier, the death toll for this kind of activists had risen up to 15, the largest number of killings at least since 2015. Figures include the homicides of activists who fight in land conflicts or for environmental causes.
