Hudson Yards was the most expensive neighborhood in New York City, United States in 2021, with the median sales price of homes at 4.75 million U.S. dollars. Out of the top ten most expensive neighborhoods to buy a home, nine were in Manhattan. Vinegar Hill was the only Brooklyn neighborhood in the top ten ranking and had a median home sales price of 1.54 million U.S. dollars.
