Mexico: automotive industry's foreign investment growth 2022, by sector
In 2022, the foreign direct investment (FDI) in Mexico's automotive industry dropped by some 3.5 percent in comparison to the previous year. The auto parts production segment is responsible for this decline, with a drop of nearly 53 percent. Meanwhile, FDI in the vehicle assembly segment grew by approximately 73 percent when compared to 2021.
