The number of new cars sold in Mexico has been continuously increasing since 2021 after a period of decline. In 2024, approximately 1.5 million light passenger vehicles were sold in the Latin American country, out of which around 635,900 cars and 860,900 light trucks. This represents a year-on-year increase of 6.3 percent for cars, and a growth of 12.5 percent for light trucks.
