Considering the years from 2008 to 2018, the general trend showed that people in Sweden with high education were more often satisfied with the democracy in the European Union than people with low education. In 2018, 62 percent of the people with high education (university studies) were satisfied, whereas 47 percent of the people with low education (primary school or equivalent) were satisfied with the democracy in the EU. The same trend was found in the opinions on the democracy in Sweden.

The original question was phrased by the source as follows: "Allmänt sett, hur nöjd är du med det sätt på vilket demokratin fungerar i: EU?"
The different educational levels refer to the following:
Low education: no completion of compulsory school; primary school or equivalent;
Average education: gymnasium/high school completed but no university studies or graduation from university;
High education: university studies or graduation from university.
The percentage refers to the combined share of respondents stating to be "very satisfied (1)" and "rather satisfied (2)". The share answering to be "not very satisfied (3)" and "not satisfied at all (4)" is not included in this statistic.
