Share of people being member of a political party in Sweden 2007-2017, by origin This statistic shows the result of a survey on people's membership in political parties in Sweden from 2007 to 2017, by origin. The share of people raised outside of Sweden being engaged and members of a political party in their country fluctuated over this period. Their highest membership rate occurred in 2008 and 2014, with a share of each eight percent of people being members of a political party. The share was lowest in 2012, 2016 and 2017, amounting to four percent. In 2017, six percent of native Swedes were members of a political party in their country.
