Commercial air conditioning demand in India 2012-2021

In 2021, the demand for air conditioning devices in India amounted to approximately 207 thousand units, the second lowest number of the past seven years. Within the observed period, demand for commercial air conditioning increased steadily until 2018 when figures peaked at around 284 thousand units. However in 2020, demand for this type of air conditioners dropped down to around 185 thousand units, which was even further than the new downward trend would indicate.
