Product portfolio
Maruti Suzuki had their passenger vehicle product portfolio classified into three segments namely passenger cars, utility vehicles, and vans. In the passenger car segment, Swift was the most widely sold model for Maruti Suzuki in the financial year 2020. Of the top ten best selling cars in India, seven of them were from this company. Within the passenger car segment, some other widely sold models were Wagor R, a hatchback, and Dzire, a compact sedan type car as of March 2021. There were three products in the utility vehicle segment; Ertiga, a multi-purpose vehicle being one of them. Eeco was the only product in the van segment. Maruti Suzuki stopped manufacturing Omni in April 2019, one of it top sold and in-demand vehicle after 35 years of service due to introduction of modified and enhanced safety standards.
