Public opinion on whether life is worse than 50 years ago in 2017, by populist party
This statistic shows the share of people in five European Union countries that believe life is worse now than it was 50 years ago, separated into whether they hold a favorable view of their country's main populist party or not, in 2017. At the time of survey in March and April 2017, 44 percent of people in Germany that held a favorable view of the AfD party felt life was worse than 50 years ago. In contrast, only 16 percent of Germans with an unfavorable view of the AfD felt life was worse.
