Exposure to hate speech on social media in Finland 2020, by age group
As of 2020, 39 percent of Finns said that they had seen hateful messages attacking a person or group on social media. Based on survey results, young people had witnessed hate speech on social media more often than older age groups in Finland. During the survey period, 64 percent of 16 to 24-year-olds and 60 percent of 25 to 34-year-olds had seen hate speech on social media in the last three months.
