In 2019, the enterprise networks segment generated 54 billion U.S. dollars in revenue worldwide, whilst the service provider networks segment saw revenues reach 131 billion U.S. dollars. In 2020, it is expected that service provider network sales will remain positive due to the importance of communications during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, notably to connect businesses, as well as allowing family and friends to stay in touch during the periods of isolation. However, enterprise network sales are likely to experience a decline, with closures to businesses as well as a redutction in trade having an impact.
