Sint Eustatius: preferred governmental status of the island 2015

This statistic displays the opinions on the preferred governmental status of the island in Sint Eustatius in 2015. In 2010, the Netherlands Antilles were disbanded, and Sint Eustatius became a special municipality of the Netherlands. Five years later, respondents from Sint Eustatius participating in this survey were asked what their preferred governmental status for the island was. Nearly 29 percent stated to pick their current status of special municipality, but over 31 percent would prefer going back to the Netherlands Antilles.
