This statistic shows the result of a survey on the share of individuals using digital means to communicate with physicians in Italy in 2018, by type and age group. According to data, WhatsApp was used for health-related purposes mainly among individuals belonging to the age groups 25-34 and 45-54 years. Among people aged 35 to 44 years, e-mails were more common than WhatsApp, in the patient-doctor communication.
