This statistic shows the level of consumption of oral contraceptives in Italy from 2014 to 2018. According to data, the consumption rate of these kind of drugs peaked in 2014 at 50.7 DDD per 1,000 inhabitants per day, before reaching an all-time low in 2015. However, from that year on, the consumption rate of oral contraceptives increased again, achieving a level of 47.9 DDD per 1,000 inhabitants per day as of 2018.
