The vast majority of international tourists visited Turkey with the purpose of travel, entertainment, sport, or cultural activities, totaling nearly 32.4 million in 2022. The second pressing reason of these tourists for coming to Turkey was to visit relatives and friends, counting over 6.4 million in the same year.
