This statistic presents the percentage change in store sales during the period from Black Friday to Christmas in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2016 and 2017. While there was a decline in sales in stores in most weeks during the two periods, 2017 saw a slightly smaller fall in store sales in the week of Black Friday (week 47) than 2016, at 1.8 percent compared to 5.6 percent in the previous year. Week 51 was the most successful week in both years, with sales increasing by 11.8 percent in 2016 and by 1.6 percent in 2017.
