As 2022 progressed, less Turkish lira could be bought with U.S. dollars than in previous years - decreasing by nearly five lira. By June 21, 2023, one U.S. dollar was worth approximately 23.57. The average (standardized) measure is based on the calculation of many observations throughout the period in question. It is therefore different than an annual measure at point in time, which reflects concrete values as of end of the year.
