Ireland: share of purchases online by category 2017

This statistic presents the results of a 2017 survey, in which consumers in the Republic of Ireland were asked what proportion of their purchases in selected categories had been online in the last 12 months. Clothing and footwear was the category in which the largest share of respondents said they had done all or some of their shopping online in the past year, at 80 percent in total. In contrast, the smallest share of those surveyed said they had bought household appliances online in the last 12 months, at 32 percent in total.
