This statistic shows the consumption of space heating of free-time residential buildings in Finland in 2017, by energy source. During that year, small scale combustion of wood was the largest energy source of space heating for free-time buildings with approximately 6.7 thousand terajoules, followed by ambient energy with roughly 660 terajoules. The smallest energy sources for apartment buildings space heating was both peat and coal with two terajoules each.
