Reasons clothing is thrown away Australia 2017
This statistic depicts the results of a survey about the reasons for people to have thrown away clothing in Australia as of October 2017. During the survey period, 63 percent of respondents in the baby boomer age bracket and 56 per cent of respondents in the millennial age bracket stated that they have thrown away clothes as they no longer fitted. By comparison, one percent of baby boomers and ten percent of millennials have thrown away clothing as they have seen someone else they know wearing a duplicate item.
