Opinions of racist nature of Zwarte Piet among Surinamese & Antillean Dutch 2021

As of 2021, over 65 percent of the Surinamese-Dutch and Antillean-Dutch people in the Netherlands stated they see Zwarte Piet as a racist phenomenon. This was significantly higher than the overall score among all Dutch survey participants. Zwarte Piet or "Black Pete" is the fictional aid of Sinterklaas, a local variation of Santa Claus in the Netherlands and Belgium.
