Share of household income spent on rent across Australia 2022, by metropolitan area
In the year ended June 2022, households in the Greater Hobart metropolitan area spent around 29 percent of their household income on rent. In comparison, households in the Greater Melbourne metropolitan area spent just 21 percent of their income on rent.
