The vast majority of the self-employed fell into the category between the minimum basis and 1.5 minimum basis at the beginning of 2023, with figures amounting to approximately 1.7 million freelancers out of a total of 2.02 million self-employed taxpayers present in Spain in March 2023. Less than 18,000 self-employed taxpayers earned more than three times the minimum base.
