New passenger car registration South Korea 2019, by age group
In 2019, South Koreans in their 50s registered over 310 thousand new passenger cars, the highest number across all age groups. People in their 40s followed with over 290 thousand cars. In all age groups, there were at least twice as many men registering new vehicles as women. The most popular model for Koreans in their 40s and 50s was the large luxury sedan Hyundai Grandeur, although the most popular model for women in these age groups was the compact SUV SsyangYong Tivoli and sedan Hyundai Avante. People in their twenties registered the fewest number of cars, with the compact sedan Kia K3 as the most popular model for both genders.
