Mexico: top countries of origin of migrants from LatAm 2017-2018

The statistic depicts the Latin American and Caribbean countries with the highest number of incoming foreign migrants in Mexico between January and October of 2017 and 2018. Between January and October of 2018, almost 51 thousand people whose country of origin was Honduras registered as incoming migrants with the Mexican authorities, up from around 27 thousand in the same period of the previous year. The second most important country of origin for Latin American and Caribbean migrants entering Mexico in 2018 was Guatemala, with almost 42 thousand people arriving in the indicated period.
