Health spending in Suriname as share of GDP 2010-2020
Suriname's health care expenditure represented approximately 6.8 percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) in 2020, a decrease compared to the figure reported a year earlier. The highest share of GDP spent on health in the South American country during the decade analyzed was observed in 2019, which amounted to around 8.4 percent. Meanwhile, Venezuela's health expenditure accounted for about four percent of its GDP in 2020.
