This statistic displays the results of a survey on the distribution of the taxi and limousine fares in Tokyo, Japan, as of June 2018, sorted by hailing method. According to a study published by McKinsey & Company, the majority of taxi fares in Tokyo, around 52 percent, were generated through taxi rides hailed on the street. In contrast, rides by ride-hailing apps accounted for only around ten percent of the total taxi fares in Tokyo.
