This statistic presents the results of a survey on perceived percentage of immigrants in Malaysia as of 2018. According to data published by Ipsos, Malaysian respondents overestimated the proportion of immigrants in their country. On average, the respondents thought that around 36 out of every 100 people in Malaysia were immigrants, when the actual share of immigrant population was around nine percent in Malaysia.
