In a study of global e-mail marketing performance metrics in the first half of 2020, a breakdown of transaction types indicated that automated e-mails had the second highest unique open rates out of the three types of e-mail, as well click rates and click-to-open rates. Transactional e-mails ranked first on all three accounts.
