Nordics: awareness of family or friend experiencing racist violence 2016

This statistic displays the awareness of people of African descent of their family member or friend experiencing physical violence because of their ethnicity within the last 12 months, in selected Nordic countries from 2015 to 2016. According to the results of the survey, 21 percent of people of African descent in Finland were aware of a member of their close network experiencing racial violence. The corresponding figure for people of African descent in Denmark was nine percent.

* The survey was conducted in Finland from November 2, 2015 to August 9, 2016; in Denmark from October 24, 2015 to March 14, 2016; and in Sweden November 2, 2015 to March 30, 2016.

**The sample size in Finland was 502 respondents, in Denmark 1,085 respondents, and in Sweden 1,098 respondents.
