* The areas politically motivated foreign ideology and politically motivated religious ideology were newly established on January 1, 2017. Direct comparison between case figures for 2017 with those of previous years is possible only in a limited capacity. The since 2017 newly defined area of politically motivated crime with religious ideology mainly includes criminal offences which were recorded in the area of politically motivated foreigner crime under the heading “Islamism/ Fundamentalism” until 2016. The areas named above were considered on a mutually comparative basis.
