The incidence of lung cancer in Sweden was highest among individuals with elementary school as their highest level of education. The lung cancer rate in this age group was 59.6 cases per hundred thousand individuals among men, and 72.8 per hundred thousand among women. The incidence rate of lung cancer decreased by the higher educational level.
