France national football team coaches 2021, by number of matches
Didier Deschamps, is the coach to have led the most matches of the French team. In August 2012, he took the reins of the national selection. He succeeds another world champion, Laurent Blanc, who had just come out of a European championship where France had been eliminated in the quarter-finals. A rebirth of French soccer will follow. Deschamps will lead his team to a Euro 2016 final lost in overtime and the world title two years later in Russia.
