This statistic illustrates the average value of merger and acquisitions (M&A) deals in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in 2019, by industry. In 2019, the chemicals, petroleum, rubber and plastics sector saw the total value of M&A deals (target countries within MENA) reach almost 81 billion U.S. dollars across 31 deals. The average value of those deals was more than 2.6 billion U.S. dollars, almost nine times more than the average deal value of deals in the mining and extraction industry.
