Chronic medical conditions associated with influenza-related complications as defined by NACI included: asthma, chronic lung disease, heart condition, cancer, diabetes or other metabolic diseases, chronic liver disease, chronic kidney disease, immune disorder/suppression, spleen problems/removal, anemia/thalassemia, morbid obesity, and conditions that compromise management of respiratory secretions.
