In 2022, China had the highest number of pay TV subscribers in the Asia-Pacific region with over 578 million subscribers, followed by India with 120 million subscribers. While China's number of pay TV subscribers marked a significant increase compared to 2021, India's pay TV audience had decreased by around nine million.
