This statistic shows the share of surveyed rural households in India that own a toilet in 2014 and 2018. In Madhya Pradesh, only 43 percent of households owned toilets in 2014, whereas in 2018 this share rose to 90 percent. As seen in the graph, the percentage of people with access to toilets has increased significantly.
