This statistic represents nuclear energy generation in the European Union between 1965 and 2018. In 1965 the European Union's generation of nuclear energy amounted to approximately 20 terawatt-hours. By 2005, this had increased to a peak of approximately 998 terawatt-hours. Since then, generation has generally been in decline, and by 2018 it had fallen to 827.4 terawatt-hours.
