In 2022, the southern region of Brazil had the largest biodiesel production across the country, accounting for more than 40 percent of the national output. Ranking second was the central-west region, with nearly 38 percent of the total production. Meanwhile, Brazil's northern region produced the lowest volume of biodiesel in the country that year. Biodiesel represented about 17 percent of the total biofuels production in Brazil.
